Hey there, there’s a little graphic novel (comic book) that I had read some time ago which was very unique and interesting. It’s called ” Death: The high cost of living” written by Neil Gaiman, which is a very famous comic writer. The story revolves around Sexton, a 16 year old boy that wanted to kill itself at first, but then he stumbled upon a mysterious black haired girl named Didi that was claiming that she was Death in human form. Every 100 years, she becomes human to get a taste of life ( the comic books state it like this: ”One day in every century, Death takes on mortal flesh, better to comprehend what the lives she takes must feel like, to taste the bitter tang of mortality”). As the story goes on, lots of things happen that I will not spoil in here, but you should read this one. There’s just something to it that made me attached to this comic.
This graphic novel is actually a spin off from Gaiman’s best-selling Vertigo Comics series The Sandman, featuring the Sandman (Dream)’s elder sister, Death (By the way a Sandman series is coming out on Netflix this year, featuring Charles Dance a.k.a. Tywin Lannister and Gwendoline Christie a.k.a. Brienne of Tarth. I think that this is gonna be interesting).
Alright guys that was it. You should check this one out! Bye bye!
